I have broken the KDE desktop in my Debian trial, but recovered usability because I had Xfce as an option. So I am still able to explore. I may end up preferring the Xfce desktop, especially as it favors simplicity. Let's continue the discussion. My real goal is something of a consensus for recommending a set up for new and unsophisticated users. It would be nice to expand our numbers here in Santa Fe.
